Modes

The seven modes of the major scale, grouped by whether their third is major or minor — which is what decides whether a mode sounds bright or dark before any of its other alterations are heard. Each page gives the step pattern, every degree, and the mode written out on all twelve roots with the major scale it shares its notes with.
